EMCC 2019 RECAP

On Saturday, the Binary Battalion competed in the EMCC off-season tournament in Woodbury. One of the main reasons we decided to compete at this event was give new members a taste of what an actual FRC robotics tournament looks like. We gave many new members the opportunity to drive the robot during the competition, and had great success. After completing our 10 qualification matches, we were rank #1 out of 29 teams, a first for the Binary Battalion. We went on to the playoffs with with our alliance members #2526 Crimson Robotics of Maple Grove and #7432 NOS robotics of Loretto.

Together, we went 2-0 in the semi-finals, and went to a tie breaker match during the finals. Unfortunately, we lost the tie breaker match, and ended up placing #2 as an alliance. This was our best finish yet in the team’s history and a great accomplishment for all members. We look forward to our next event, the Minnesota Robotics Invitational, in Roseville on October 12th.
