Mission
The mission of FIRST® is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
7028 Robotics shares this mission, with the addition of providing financial support of the STMA Robotics FRC Team #7028, The Binary Battalion.
Financial Needs
Our team has a goal of attending two regionals each season, one of which is typically a destination regional such as Duluth or Grand Forks, and the other being in Minneapolis with daily transportation from STMA. Winning a regional will result in an invite to the World Championship event in Houston, TX. Due to the limited amount of time between the regional events and the championship, we try to maintain a reserve fund balance that can mostly cover the cost of a trip to Houston (transportation and lodging).
